March 2022 Newsletter - We're Lucky to Practice with YOU!
Welcome to March!
This month means that we are just that much closer to spring time, can you feel it in the air?! With a new month comes some changes to the schedule, some much loved events returning to the schedule, and a new teacher of the month, Sarah Matthews!
Covid Update
As we seem to hopefully be returning to a sense of normal around the valley, we hope to bring that sense of relief to the studio as well. With the mask mandate being dropped in the city of Ketchum, masks are optional in the studio and during classes. We will continue to uphold our Covid cleaning protocols, and we hope that you will continue to be mindful of staying home when you are experiencing any cold or flu symptoms. We feel confident that we are able to increase our class sizes this month and will continue to monitor the local Covid numbers to adjust as needed.
Spring Break!
As many of our practitioners are fully aware, spring break will take place mid month for the local Wood River Valley schools. Many of our teachers will be out of town during these couple of weeks, so take this as an opportunity to try a class with another teacher! You might find a new favorite to add to your weekly routine! Some classes may need to be cancelled, so please check the website or Mindbody app before coming to class.
Find Julianna Now on Wednesdays at Noon!
Julianna will be taking over the noon Power Vinyasa class on Wednesdays starting March 16th. If you haven't taken one of our lunch time classes, this is a sign to make it happen!
The Power Vinyasa classes are heated to 95 degrees to help you loosen your body, clear your mind, and break a nice sweat. The hour long class is a perfect way to spend your midday break and to get yourself pumped up for the second half of the day.

Sensory Deep Dive: Explore the Path of Finding More Joy
with Hanna Curran
Come for an exploration of deeper embodiment, self love, awakening and awareness tailored to give you choice in your personal adventure to what awakens your joy by tapping into listening to a full bodies yes. A pathway to finding and experiencing your pleasure in life through diving into the sense of sight, smell, taste, sound, and touch is meant to encourage individuals to become more connected to self and find deeper resonance with joy. It can help us step into deeper connection to what we truly want and what we say yes and no to whether it is food, an experience, a partner, a job or any life choice or path.
Hanna will lead us into a journey by shutting off the collective world to enter your inner world and essence. To help navigate and find deeper connection and resonance to honoring your authentic path. Gifts of chocolate, fruit, flowers, and more will be provided and included in this class.
If you want to bring your own scarf or eye coverings, a cozy blanket, perhaps tea that you love, please do. It is highly recommended that you bring an essential oil or scent that you enjoy but please refrain from bringing strong perfume. Dress in clothing that is comfortable to relax in.
Class will include breath work, guided meditations, sound bowls and offerings. There will be a mix of being seated and laying down but will not include active asana.

How does your yoga practice show up in your daily life?
My yoga practice has made such a positive impact on my daily life. It has taught me to be mindful of my thoughts, words and actions. Honoring the interconnectedness I have with others and the world around me. My life is full on, raising three young boys and my practice gives me the permission to pause and to accept my humanness. It allows me to have moments of stillness, to have space and freedom from my thoughts and encourages me to connect to my physical body and to remember to breathe. It also shows up in my daily life as gratitude, SO much gratitude!
What originally helped you find yoga and what has kept you practicing all these years?
I found yoga in my 20s and it immediately felt like home to me. I started with Bikram yoga and remember weeping after my first class. It was the deeper spiritual connection that I had been longing to find and it felt like the kindest thing I could do for my mind, body and soul. Even though I have been on many different yoga paths over the past 20 years, yoga has been one of the few consistent things in my constantly evolving life. It has carried me through three pregnancies, the exhaustion of raising tiny humans and multiple cross country moves. My yoga mat has seen many tears of both joy and grief. This practice has introduced me to so many wonderful people along the way and I am truly grateful to be a part of the Gather community.
What is one take away your hope your students have after your class?
My hope is that they feel grounded and more connected to their physical and spiritual body. I hope that they feel seen, valued and welcomed in our shared space. Maybe they are able to leave some of the heaviness of life behind, tap into the present moment and open their hearts just a little wider. If they get a great workout or enjoy the music that would be an amazing bonus!
Sarah's Weekly Schedule:
